Is fraud in Costa Rica punishable by law?
In our country, there has been giving much more frequently different types of fraud crimes lately, all accompanied by the growth and development of related scams, credit card theft, identity-related crime and more. For all of us it is easier as we do not have to leave our house to do many things like buying something or paying our bills, talking to our friends and more.
It seems unbelievable and I think that security in this era of change and risk should be higher and most regrettable is that even in countries like ours laws do not cover many of these crimes difficult to be prosecuted, and therefore give impunity.
It is very difficult in Costa Rica laws apply so many of the frauds that are committed every day go unpunished and we are the ones who pay the consequences and are the most affected.
